About this experience

Hit the main city highlights on this full-day tour of the heart of Bangkok. You will visit the 3 most famous temples in Central Bangkok as well as taking a Longtail boat tour of the Thonburi Canlas. The tour also includes an immersive walking tour of Bangkok’s busy Chian Town district.

This tour is a fantastic way to start exploring Bangkok by visiting this huge city’s true heart and soul! During this one-day trip, you will be collected from your hotel in Bangkok and escorted to your first temple complex, Wat Po, known throughout Thailand for its Thai massage school as well as its immense reclining Buddha. After Wat Po we will take the short walk to the river and begin exploring some of Bangkok’s famous waterways; starting with the mighty Chao Phraya River. We will reach the docks and board a long tail boat that will give you a scenic ride along the Chao Phraya. From this vantage point, we will experience the river life of Bangkok and see the city from a completely different perspective. At one point, your boat will leave the Chao Phraya and travel through some of the backwater narrow canals in Thonburi. You will witness a more sedate and traditional lifestyle still persisting away from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok. After returning to the docks and disembarking the long tail boat, we will board a river ferry and cross the Chao Phraya to reach Wat Arun, one of Thailand’s most iconic temples. Get close to this magnificent structure and even climb partway up the stupa and take in the panoramic view over the surrounding area and the Chao Phraya. After lunch we will head to the final destination which will be the hectic district of Yaworat; you will visit Bangkok’s China Town by foot and see Wat Traimit which features a solid gold Buddha. After the tour, you will be driven back to your hotel in Bangkok.

This is a 100% private tour just for you and your group, with your own vehicle, driver and licensed English-speaking guide. You will not join other travellers. The price is per person and gets lower the bigger your group (up to 9 guests; for larger groups, contact us).

This is a Full day tour and we will provide lunch. Special dietary requirements can be catered to on request.

Pick-up and drop-off

Free pick up and drop off is included to and from any Bangkok city hotel. There may be an extra charge levied for pick up and drop off at outlying hotels and hotels in the Suvarnabhumi Airport area. We will let you know before the tour if this applies.

Dress for temple visits

On this tour, you will be visiting Buddhist temples. Respectful dress is always appreciated. For dress we suggest the following:
Please wear a shirt which covers the shoulders and reaches the waist (a t-shirt will be fine!) For leg wear, at least knee-length shorts or skirts should be worn.
