About this experience
Spend a day visiting Ayutthaya, the ancient capital of Siam on this cultural day excursion from Bangkok. Ayutthaya was said to have been one of the most beautiful cities in the world in its time and the heart of the thriving Siamese Kingdom situated on the banks of the Chao Phraya. On this Ayutthaya Tour, you will see some of the ruins of over 400 stone temples and Buddhist statues. At the Summer Palace at Bang Pa-In see the mixture of Thai, Chinese, and Gothic architecture. This is the perfect day out for those interested in historical Siamese temple architecture and a good excuse to escape the hectic pace of Bangkok for a day.
We will collect you from your Bangkok hotel and proceed north out of Bangkok to the city of Ayutthaya. On the route, we will make the first stop at Bang Pa-In Summer Palace. At the Summer Palace at Bang Pa-In see the mixture of Thai, Chinese, and Gothic architecture. we will proceed to the city of Ayutthaya and visit the first Temple of the day (Wat Yai Chaimongkhol) Lunch will be taken before we will see a further selection of some of the more interesting temples and remnants Ayutthaya has to offer. Our day will finish when we drive you back to your Bangkok hotel.
This is a 100% private tour just for you and your group, with your own vehicle, driver and licensed English-speaking guide. You will not join other travellers. The price is per person and gets lower the bigger your group (up to 9 guests; for larger groups, contact us).

This is a Full day tour and we will provide lunch. Special dietary requirements can be catered to on request.
Pick-up and drop-off
Free pick up and drop off is included to and from any Bangkok city hotel. There may be an extra charge levied for pick up and drop off at outlying hotels and hotels in the Suvarnabhumi Airport area. We will let you know before the tour if this applies.
Dress for temple visits
On this tour, you will be visiting Buddhist temples. Respectful dress is always appreciated. For dress we suggest the following:
Please wear a shirt which covers the shoulders and reaches the waist (a t-shirt will be fine!) For leg wear, at least knee-length shorts or skirts should be worn.

Cancellation policy
Cancellations 10 or more days before the tour: refund of the booking price less 10% and a 500 Baht (US$19.61) refund fee. The Processing Fee is not refundable. Cancellations within 10 days of the tour: no refund. If the tour is cancelled by the operator, you receive a full refund. Refund requests must be made in writing (email is fine).
