Helmet Diving Experience in Mactan, Cebu: Walk the Ocean Floor

Ever wanted to see Cebu’s marine life up close without learning to scuba dive? With helmet diving (also known as sea walking), you simply put on a specially designed helmet that supplies fresh air from the surface, step down a ladder and walk along the ocean floor among colourful corals and schools of tropical fish.

After a short safety briefing on the boat, a trained guide takes you underwater and stays with you for the whole 15-minute experience. Your head stays dry, you breathe normally, and you can even wear your glasses inside the helmet, so it is one of the easiest and most memorable ways to explore the reefs off Mactan.

No swimming or diving experience is needed, which makes helmet diving perfect for first-timers, families and anyone who is not confident in the water. Gear, the boat and crew, entrance fees and government taxes are all included. Add a hotel transfer from Mactan or Cebu City if you need one.
